From what does one draw his inspiration? Those things that surround, whatever is handy, can stimulate much. It seems, though, that there is an overabundance of stimulants--far too much to meld into novel creation coherently. Great thoughts, I think, can be gotten through passive contemplation of natural phenomenon. What would be the option value for lost human creative powers by destruction of our natural environments and our insodese to the cities? And, I wonder if the future conceals information junkies, twitching on the floor in a room lit by television static, EMR so proliferate that one could hear and see the different waves, women and men living their lives without knowing a damn thing.
