24.1.05 [ I Hate Mondays ] 0 comments

An extended weekend of euphoria is always truncated by the dreaded Monday. Time to, again, embrace reality.

The frustration of it all is that everyone is always pursuing their own agendas, I guess even me.

I made an appointment with one of my professors. When I arrived at his office, he was busy with another student. No problem: I was five minutes early.

Twenty minutes worth of reading outdated advertisements later, I tried again. This time I caught a glimpse of his guest: cute blonde.

"Uh, busy right now Michael."

Right. I'll just wait around for another hour and a half, stare at the walls, work on some statistics (though not very effectively, since my grasp of covariance is a little weak). And, when I come back and I can hear voices but you don't answer, I'll just give up.

Is it irony? His office is beside another professor's who pulled this kind of bullshit on me all last year.

Unrelated, why is it that the most useless people seem to earn salaries courtesy of the SU, while I have yet to receive a single call back for the most mundane of positions from over fifty applications. Blast it, that's just the bitterness talking.

And besides, my term paper this semester will address the brutal budget inconsistencies in my department, academic enough to be used as a legitimate citation by some protest-aholics I am acquainted with. Mess you up.
