After a few months worth of methodically messing around, my experiment with reconditioning an old IBM transnote into something usable has ended in dismal failure. As it turns out, my orignal system board was fried and the cheap replacement board has an unrepairable power supply problem.
It would have been cool, though: no more paper, a true digital notebook. Alas, it was nothing rather than a true waste of time.
